A family run business that has 30 year’s experience supporting adults with Learning Difficulties. They require a dedicated and committed person with a wealth of experience in the care industry to join their vibrant team based in Reading.

They are looking for a person with initiative and enthusiasm with a suitable qualification in Psychology specialising in behaviour analysis. Specifically in relation to the current role, they are looking for someone who can work in the context of adults with Learning Difficulties and Autism to identify the challenges in their lives.

Working with the therapeutic team, the successful candidate will to provide information to regarding behaviours and next steps. In addition the applicant through wider knowledge of psychology wills liaise with the managers to help understand the attitudes and behaviours of staff both at an individual and group level, in order to look at behaviours in the wider context to improve quality of life within their service.

Duties & Responsibilities
- To utilise research skills and assist in the design and implementation of audit and future research projects.
- To carry out, therapeutic interventions identified as part of individual care plans.
- To facilitate and prepare for group and individual behavioural programmes such as social skills.
- To coordinate the training and activities that form part of the graduate therapeutic support worker clinical programme. (Currently in abeyance)
- To contribute to training and support of other staff in psychological methods.
- Assisting Manager in writing service user behavioural guidelines, risk assessments, service user profiles and working with staff regarding individual care plans.

The successful candidate will be able to use investigative methods from a knowledge of psychology and be able to provide evidence in order that therapeutic interventions maybe tested. The candidate will conduct themselves at all time professionally with a good understanding of ethics when applied generally but specifically in behavioural analysis.

The candidate will have all the practical skills necessary to analyse behaviour, behavioural interactions and to formulate plans for change, and be able to monitor and feedback the effects of interventions.

- 2:1 Psychology Hons Degree on above, giving eligibility for BPS graduate membership
- SPSS competency or similar
