Band 6 Nurse/Team Leader

Part-time hours including Day and Night Hours
Warsash, Southampton

This leading Nationwide provider of case management and rehabilitation services is recruiting a Band 6 Nurse/Team Leader to lead a home based paediatric team providing care and therapy support for our client, to ensure high standards of care and medical protocols are followed, enabling an active and fun filled childhood.

Our 4-year-old client has a neurological disabilities and epilepsy. He is enterally fed via a jejunostomy and requires assistance with respiratory management.

Role Overview:
To assist with facilitation of the client’s physical wellbeing, education and social learning.

The role will include providing clinical care for the client in his home, training and mentoring support workers and assisting as required with the co-ordination of the care package. Working with and reporting to parents and Case Manager. His parents are actively involved with all aspects of their son’s care.

Role Requirements:
We require an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic nurse who has a range of experience in working with paedatric complex care clients in the community and ideally has experience of managing respiratory disorders.

Post registration experience and current NMC registration (RSCN/RN ‘Child’ or RGN/RN ‘Adult’)

A full driving license to drive in the UK (endorsements to be disclosed).

Hours:
Up to 37 hours per week, to include 2 night shifts as well as Team Leader Duties. Additional hours available during school holidays.

Remuneration:
Rates of pay: £16 - £26 per hour dependant on experience.

Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year pro rata.

Induction, relevant training opportunities and clinical supervision will be offered to promote continuity of high care standards and to enable employees to meet NMC revalidation requirements.
