This provider of design and construction solutions to the logistics industry has a temporary position for an AutoCAD operator. Three months+ full time work. Offices based in Leighton Buzzard but may also be able to work at home.
Reporting directly to the company directors, the CAD Operator is responsible for all aspects involved in the design and preparation of detailed drawings to meet all statutory requirements.
Must be experienced in AutoCAD; be computer literate and able to work using their own initiative.
The role involves:
- Producing drawings, designs, detailing of steelwork using Auto CAD
- Preparation of detailed layout drawings (with quotation where applicable) to meet current statutory requirements.
- Producing detailing mechanical component parts and steel production drawings for warehouse and storage equipment including stairs, shelving and mezzanine floors.
- Provide manufacturing information to the production department.
- Previous experience of producing accurate design models and drawings using AutoCAD is essential.
- A good understanding of industry standards and ability to translate requirements to CAD drawings.
- Ensure the identification of drawings and the maintenance of drawings register if applicable.
- Mechanical background preferred rather than architectural but would consider if had relevant knowledge in construction detailing.
Must have minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience.
Salary dependant on experience.
Hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm
