They are looking for an Associate Scientist/ Senior Associate Scientist to join their team and play a key role in supporting the business to grow.
Based at Biocity, Scotland, Bo’ness Road, Newhouse
The job requires you:
- Work within a regulated environment with human stem cells
- Product testing, including QC testing of human stem cell products
- Product development
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Processing human stem cells to CGMP and ISO standards, at times, working in a cleanroom environment
- Review of manufacturing and associated documents
- Product testing (flow cytometry, microbiology) and results reporting
- Assist in research and development activities of both products and assays
- Assist with process validations, equipment and assay qualifications
- Assist with the development and update of SOPs to ensure compliance in maintained throughout laboratory environment
Essential requirements
- BSc/Msc in biological sciences
- Experience of working in regulated environment
- Tissue culture
- Flow cytometry
Preferred or desirable skills
- Stem cell differentiation
- Molecular biology (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, primer designer)
- Writing validation and qualification protocols and reports
