Assistant Stock and Compliance Auditor - Multi-Site Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a pivotal role in one of Scotland’s fastest growing companies. This is a family run business – set up in 2012 and it is now the leading independent E-Cig operator in the UK with over 100 stores nationwide. They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant stock and compliance auditor to help monitor and control their stock accuracy and compliance within their shops.

To work alongside their Company Auditor, this position is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop themselves within a fast paced retail industry and to help shape the systems and controls that are developed to drive our stock accuracy and ultimately service our customers by having the right stock in the right place.

This position involves travelling to various shops within our estate to complete company stocktakes by accurately counting and recording all stock.

Key Responsibilities

- In-store stocktakes and compliance
- Complete stock takes of shops by counting stock accurately and methodically
- Responsibility for completion of stock counts with the Store Manager, providing reports, investigating discrepancies and escalating findings to Company Auditor
- Assist with other required stock & compliance procedures as directed
- Assist the Company Auditor in completion of all audit administration as requested
- Develop skills and adapt to new procedures as required

The successful candidate will also be required to carry out statutory and company compliance checks, providing help to Store Managers and taking remedial action as appropriate in the following areas;

- Store Compliance (Back Office/ Shop Floor)
- Stock reporting and investigations

They are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who can build relationships with store managers to aid and drive improvement of all audit and stocktake tasks.

A positive attitude and the desire to learn is a must in this role.

Full training will be given, however previous experience within a retail environment (including stock counting) would be advantageous

Required Skills:

- Driving license
- Highly numerate and accurate
- Methodical approach
- Able to work in a timely and accurate manner
- Knowledge and experience of Epos systems
- Confidence and ability to assert yourself and work with all levels of Management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel/word)

What’s on offer?

You will be working 45 hours a week at stores across the UK and will be provided with a company car (you must be 25 or older to be insured through the Company). You will receive 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and access to a workplace pension with employer contributions.
