The Location
This role will be based at their Head Office in Perry Barr, Birmingham

The Opportunity
The purpose of this role will be to assist in delivering a variety of projects within estimated budgets.

What you will be doing
Project operations
- At Contract award stage, review Tender information and review with the Site Team, detailed costing information and review of programming to compile an accurate cost / value budgets
- Assist the Project QS in the preparation of monthly valuations and submit to Client
- Regularly review Contract Documentation to ensure compliance and familiarisation with the Project Scope of Works
- Liaise with the site to collect and compile all necessary information and supporting documentation (this may include but not be limited to: CVIs, Dayworks sheets, Waste Transfer Notes, Disposal Logs etc.) for review and incorporation for Contract Variations, Site Instructions or Scope of Works amendments. These will be reviewed, assessed and submitted with External valuations
- Progress dealing with any additional works, valuation and variations to the Clients; periodically reviewing and discussing for agreement
- Chase and agree Interim certificates / payments with Clients and assist in provision of information required for Final Account submissions
- Carry out monthly Project Cashflow reports, monitoring Payments received against Certification and Payment Dates, and actioning any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of the Cost Forecast sheet, updating budgets, actual costs, monthly purchases and providing accurate costing information for use within the Cost Value Reconciliation process
- Assist in the compiling of Subcontract Orders, appointment and management of Subcontractor valuations
- Manage Retention payments

Your experience
- Working in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial department within a relevant Construction Industry related company, with at least 18 month’s experience and able to demonstrate the key required responsibilities that are essential to the role

Your Qualifications
- A current UK driving license
- A relevant degree, HND or similar in a suitably related subject or significant proven relevant experience specifically relating to the role, substantiated through references
