Assistant Project Manager

Warrington

c£23K plus benefits including pension

The company is a successful, well established medium sized business based near Gemini Retail Park in Warrington. The environment is fast paced and they are looking for an enthusiastic, positive person to join their operations team. Their key business areas are the production and supply of netting, labelling and line marking solutions to a diverse customer base.

The job role will include the following responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Installation Manager
- Supporting the delivery of projects to time, cost, quality and scope
- Site Surveys
- Checking and clarifying project viability and communicating any anomalies
- Customer Liaison
- Managing the project lifecycle
- Completion of project plans and associated documentation
- Assessing and helping to manage project risks and issues
- Ensuring labour/materials and plant are booked for the project
- Completion of ‘fit files’ for the installers
- Site H&S including tool box talks and site audits
- Willing to travel regularly and stay away if required

Full training will be provided in their products, systems and processes. Working hours are Monday to Friday; 8.30am to 5pm.

Whilst it is important that you are competent in the key areas described below, they are also just as interested in your potential and drive to contribute to the team culture that exists within the business.

Applicants should have the following aptitudes /characteristics -

- Experience in a project delivery environment – this could be in construction, engineering, general industry or a related area
- Good IT skills
- Able to use initiative and aptitude and with a good eye for detail to work things out and solve problems
- High level of self-motivation.
- A real commitment to “getting it right first time” and a willingness to develop, learn and progress
- Works as part of a team, shares credit, more interested in the collective success of the team than in personal achievement
- Empathy; understands the dynamics of working with people, self-aware, helps colleagues out in order to get the job done
- Able to multitask
- Methodical, tidy, structured, well organised
- Adaptable
- Friendly and approachable
