Assistant Principal (must be able to teach English or Science to GCSE level)

The School
This is an academy for boys', located in the Surrey Countryside, 20 minutes from Guildford. They provide an all-round education for boys aged 11-18. With their committed support and guidance, their students manage to overcome significant barriers to learning, acquiring the skills and competencies to re-join mainstream or post-16 education with a broad spectrum of qualifications and there-by building themselves better futures.

The Role
They are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Principal who must also be able to teach either English or Science to GCSE level.

You will have outstanding interpersonal and behaviour management skills, have high expectations, and be fully committed to supporting opportunities for disadvantaged students with Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with class sizes limited to a maximum of 8 pupils.
Your planning will take into account the diversity of need and ability within each teaching group, and you will have a good understanding of assessment and monitoring student progress.

Previous experience of working in with SEMH pupils is not essential and applications from colleagues currently in mainstream settings are greatly encouraged.

The school is extremely well supported in its continual drive for excellence through its Governing Body, Executive Office and Board of Trustees and the school is committed to CPD across its staff teams.

Must have own transport due to rural location.
