This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established company that undertakes social and market research for the public sector across the UK. They employ around 50 people and offer attractive employment conditions within a large, friendly central Swansea office.

Currently, they have a vacancy for an Assistant Social Researcher - Full Time (Swansea)

Initially, the post-holder will be expected to provide the back-up and support necessary to enable research projects to be successfully completed.

Whilst a range of different tasks will be undertaken, the person appointed may be responsible for:
- Involvement in planning projects
- Setting up questionnaires and scripts using the appropriate software packages
- Attending meetings and focus groups and taking notes
- Listening to depth interviews and focus group discussions to select appropriate quotations that illustrate findings in written reports
- Understanding findings and results and contributing to written reports and presentations under the guidance of a project manager
- Proof reading questionnaires and reports
- Classification of questionnaire responses into appropriate categories within an existing framework

Experience or an interest in public sector policy development or social research would be advantageous.

There may be scope for the person appointed to develop their skills and experience beyond the role of Assistant Social Researcher, and the company will provide appropriate training to facilitate this.

The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

- Excellent communication and organisational skills with clear writing style with good spelling and grammar
- Strong attention to detail
- Be computer literate with good numeracy
- Flexible and adaptable and prove to be a good team player
- Permission to work in the UK
