A forward-thinking Interior Design and Fit Out company have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join them on a permanent basis.

The company supply bespoke kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture for large-scale residential developments in London.

As an Assistant Estimator, you will report directly to the Business Development Manager to support the delivery of their upcoming projects. Therefore, your responsibilities will vary from but are not limited to:

- Reviewing the Tender documentation.
- Estimating the cost of the internal production activities.
- Searching for potential external suppliers.
- Managing price requests to external suppliers.
- Producing bills of quantities from drawings and specifications
- Compiling the Tender submissions.
- Monitoring Tenders after submission and respond to any further requests by the client.
- Provide a dependable support function to the Business Development Manager.
- Carry out administrative tasks.

Primary Objectives:
- Become fluent in the estimation process, the methods used and the concepts applied.
- Confidently assist in producing competitive estimates that accurately interpret existing and potential client requirements.
- Analyse and interpret construction drawings.
- Develop professional relationships with longstanding clients and new customers to support and encourage new business orders.
- Be a contributing member to the ongoing development of the department.

Assistant Estimator Position Requirements:
- Problem Solving and Numeracy skills: You must have great accuracy and attention to detail (business math skills will be tested in the interview).
- Time Management skills: You will be working with employees, clients and management, often spinning multiple plates at once.
- Communication skills: You will need to communicate with a wide variety of people using many different platforms.
- Polish language is a requirement.
- IT skills: You will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office and other industry preferred applications (Microsoft Excel skills will be tested in the interview).
- Experience within the commercial furniture industry would be beneficial in addition to a good knowledge of the construction industry.
- Commutable distance to South East London SE9

Work Environment
This is a Full-Time role. Hours 8.30am to 5.30pm with one hour for lunch.
