This Kent-based specialist B2B publisher focusing on the engineering, manufacturing and automotive sectors, is looking for an assistant/ deputy editor to work across its magazine portfolio, including all social media portals and Web sites.
The candidate will need to demonstrate: experience of writing, commissioning, subbing and proofing content; an interest in engineering, manufacturing and technical issues; and an eye for detail. The candidate will also need a high level of social media skills.
They will have to: write editorial content, conduct interviews, produce journalistic copy, sub and proof press releases; represent the titles at events in the UK and abroad; update all company social media portals and Web sites; produce topical newsletters; liaise with editors and sales teams; work to tight deadlines; and be able to operate independently.
They are looking for someone who also has experience of using social media to reinforce their print and Web site activities.
This is a small, friendly publisher with a portfolio of half-a-dozen B2B magazines and Web sites, and plans to expand. They also organise a successful series of allied trade exhibitions and seminars that are held at the Birmingham NEC every two years.
