This is an opportunity to join a well-accredited house builder responsible for award winning work across the region. Their company is currently on course to build over 200 new build units in 2019, rising to 350 units in 2020 with plans for further growth into sites across the North West and Yorkshire.

They require an Assistant Construction and Contracts Manager to work closely with their Construction Director to oversee their growing portfolio of New Build Developments as they continue to be one of the UK’s fastest growing regional house builders.

Role Responsibilities
They are looking for an experienced individual to assist the Construction Director to provide guidance to their team of site managers by:

Programme Planning & Compliance
- Planning projects to the necessary level of detail for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays
- Liaising closely with the buying function regarding the timely procurement of materials
- Ensuring the correct and timely engagement with all subcontractors
- Compiling and delivering progress reports

Health & Safety
- Planning, monitoring and critiquing the Health & Safety performance of their sites
- Working with Site Managers to ensure all necessary Health & Safety responsibilities are understood by site personnel
- Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations

Quality
- Establishing a benchmark for quality and ensuring it is achieved through best practice being consistently implemented across sites
- Acting as an escalation point for risks and issues concerning quality
- Ensuring site managers and their teams comply with all the company quality policies in addition to all relevant legal obligations

Customer Relations
- Ensuring that sites have minimal negative community impact
- Monitoring customer satisfaction across sites in liaison with Site Managers

What they want from you
They are looking for the following skills, qualities and qualifications in applicants for this role:
- Experience of multi-site management at a senior level within the construction industry; preferably New Build Developments
- Extensive knowledge of all relevant building regulations
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Proven strong management and leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor
- Commitment to keeping quality a priority despite challenging build deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative and problem-solving nature
- HNC/HND/Degree level construction management qualification(s)

What they can offer you
For the right candidate we can offer a competitive salary of up to £42,000 and a generous car allowance.
