Who you will join

You will be joining a growing boutique architectural and building consultancy company.

Where you will work

You will be working on very high end private properties with exclusive clients mainly site based, but there will be opportunity to work from home on report writing for the self motivated self starter.

Your new role

You will be involved with all stages of the construction process from design to build. You will be assisting the project director and project manager with the short and medium term project planning and reporting as well as day to day site involvement in issues as they occur. Part of the role will be getting involved with the team to reduce issues before they occur and plan upcoming progress as well as reporting to the project director. You will work with established and prestigious project teams of consultants and contractors/suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have similar residential experience, and high end residential experience would be highly advantageous. You will be confident and outgoing to speak about our objectives with other architects and designers as well as with the contractors and you will need to be able to get across your point or your queries quickly and succinctly. You must have excellent attention to detail with pride in your work as it represents you and the company. You will be well presented and have excellent verbal and written skills. That is you will need to be confident and quick with your note taking and be able to write up minutes and reports (having been given examples and templates to work from). Your written business English must be very good. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are an absolute prerequisite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and AutoCAD and Adobe CS are very desirable. A broad mix of projects experience is beneficial from contract admin, project management, party wall matters, as well as report writing, and creating and updating programmes in Excel and Project using our templates.

What professional qualifications and experience you need

A bachelors degree ideally from a UK university in building surveying or architecture. With at least two years relevant experience, ideally 4.
