The purpose of this role is to provide a professional and comprehensive Assistant Accountant to the finance department. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of previous accounting experience and have worked in a busy office environment.

Main Duties
The assistant accountant will produce management accounts for the four companies for the Finance Manager to prepare Executive Summaries for the Board of Directors. Other Main Duties include:

- Pre-Payments and accruals
- Cash book reconciliation
- Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger Reconciliations
- Control Accounts
- Financials up to trial balance
- VAT Returns
- Production of complex management accounts
- Team Management
- Payroll

Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 as a minimum

Experience
- Must have at least 2 years experience working within a similar role and a busy finance office environment
- Knowledge of the workings of the construction industry scheme would be advantageous
- Knowledge and solid experience of SAGE is ideal
