An Assistant Accountant is required to join a leading company in the shopping centre industry based in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
The role involves:-
- Cashiering duties including posting of receipts to debtors ledger, petty cash administration, supplier payments.
- Raising invoices to customers and subsequent posting to ledger.
- Maintaining debtors ledger. Issuing periodic statements to debtors and chasing payments.
- Coding and processing of purchase invoices.
- Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Monthly bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations to general ledger.
- Checking, coding and posting of expenses.
- Investigation of customer and supplier queries.
- Assisting Management Accountant in ad hoc duties.
To carry out this role they would expect you:-
- To have at least 3 years experience in a similar environment/role.
- To be experienced in using Sage line 50 and Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
- To be self motivated, flexible, organised and able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- To have strong written and communication skills.
