An Assistant Accountant is required for 10 months maternity cover to join a small and growing accountancy practice based in Surrey. They have a great office atmosphere and provide a great service to their clients and they are looking to expand the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Undertaking bookkeeping activities on Sage, Xero, and other software
- Bank reconciliations
- Debtor/creditor ledger reconciliations
- posting journals
- VAT returns
- getting the books up to trial balance stage
- Processing payroll
- Managing pensions auto enrolment
- Proficient in usual Microsoft office products
Experience
They are looking for someone with at least 4 years bookkeeping experience who has worked in practice and is looking to manage a client portfolio. The candidate should be able to work independently at client site as well as a part of a team in the office.
Office Hours: 9am to 5pm
