An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly technician to our operations team. The role will would suit a driven individual who is a team player and desire to continually improve.
Essential experience
- Read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
- Complete and submit documentation for improvements and for replacement component
- Liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth production process
- Present any production improvement ideas to improve the process using agreed methods
- Knowledge on assembly, test and calibration of products
- Time management and organisational skills/able to work unsupervised
- Articulate, good communication skills and team working ability
- Flexible and able to prioritise
- Compliance with health and safety standards, flexibility, and development of skills through the complete manufacturing process
Desired experience (preferred but not essential)
- Computer literate - Office
- Available for evening and weekend work (generous overtime rates are offered)
- Competent at soldering
- Team supervisory experience
- Knowledge of 5’ s workplace organisation. Continuous improvement / elimination of waste, through Lean Manufacturing techniques / tools
