You will take part in a comprehensive 24-month apprenticeship where you will gain hands-on experience in a range of horticultural activities to maintain the extensive gardens which include many unusual features. Working within a small team, you will be trained to use garden machinery, maintain lawns, prepare the ground for seeding and planting and establish plants, among other activities.
During your apprenticeship, you will attend Pershore College on block release to achieve your Level 2 Equivalent Work Based Diploma in Horticulture and you will receive two-monthly workplace visits from a monitoring officer. If successful if your apprenticeship, we will discuss potential further career and development opportunities with you with a view to permanent employment.
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, you will be imaginative, self-motivated and eager to learn about horticulture. You will be reliable, conscientious and have a first-rate attitude towards your work.
