This is a great opportunity for a school leaver or someone looking for a career change, to join this outstanding Dental Practice to train as a Dental Nurse.

The 2-year training programme, leading towards an HND in dental nursing and General Dental Council (GDC) registration on completion, involves working full-time as an apprentice at our dental practice, whilst attending college one evening a week.

Dental nursing will suit someone who is caring and empathetic with good communication skills and is detail orientated, meticulous, methodical and not squeamish about the surgical aspects of the job. Duties of a dental nurse include providing chair-side assistance to dentists and hygienists in surgery, decontamination and back of house clinical support, admin support and front desk duties dealing with patients.

The minimum academic requirement is core GCSE subjects and a successful interviews with the Training College and the Practice. The interviews will be geared towards assessing the candidate’s attitude to learning, aptitude for becoming a caring and communicative professional dental nurse and their fit with the Practice's team and values.

The apprentice will be remunerated at the National Apprenticeship wage rate for the first year and the national living wage rate for the second year of training.
