An exciting opportunity for highly motivated, results driven Application Support Specialist has become available to join their rapidly growing Service Management team. Based in their Milton Keynes office with a requirement to work from client site & the flexibility to work from home.

Essential to the role:
The successful candidate will provide dedicated Application Support Services to one of their clients, they will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, consistent customer support, ensuring that contractual SLA’s are met, or exceeded.

Tasks at a glance:
- Management of incidents, requests & problems logged within our ITIL service management system
- First call resolution rate of 80%
- Management of incidents, requests, & problems within our ITIL service management system, providing 1st & 2nd Line Support
- Responsible for the tracking and progression of items assigned to 3rd Line resolver groups & 3rd party suppliers ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
- Demonstrating excellent communications skills, have a confident approach & can demonstrate a high level of comprehension within an Application Support environment
- Working directly with their customers, which will involve working from customer sites during implementation projects & post go-live
- Developing an awareness of both the business & cultural environments within which their customers operate

Desired Skills:
- Technically capable of supporting a traditional Microsoft based infrastructure running the software - MS Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, MS SQL 2000 – 2014, MS Windows XP & MS Office 2010 suite
- Knowledge of Databases and System Integration (HL7)
- Knowledge of Networking architecture & principles
- The ability to write SQL queries to aid in the investigation of customer incidents and requests
- Experience in Java, Apache Tomcat, and Web Services
- ITIL qualified

- A highly motivated team player with the ability to champion the benefits of new approaches to others & play a vital role in embedding & making these processes a success.
- Experienced in working in a highly pressurised reactive support environment, delivering Customer IT services, in line with SLA’s
- Experienced in providing Application support on bespoke Healthcare software, particularly EPR or PAS systems; they want to hear from you.
