This is an opportunity to join a leading global supplier of precious metal products. As part of their business they have formed a unique strategic partnership with Electro Optical Systems (EOS GmbH) in order to provide a complete additive manufacturing solution to the jewellery and watch making industries.

The Precious M080 is the only metal 3D printer that has been specifically developed for the jewellery and watchmaking industries. This company provides a complete and unique additive manufacturing solution by coupling the Precious M080 with their optimised process parameters and gas atomised Advanced Metal Powders.

They have an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead our Additive Manufacturing team in this “Hands on” role. The main responsibilities of the role will be:

1. Become the technical leader in operating their Direct Metal Laser Sintering, DMLS, equipment and associated file creation and preparation software. Ensure that the necessary competence is cascaded to the required team members.
2. Manage the creation and development of optimised parameter sets for new materials on the DMLS equipment.
3. To establish, develop and implement a formal trial programme including analysis of all process variables.
4. Work with EOS to develop and improve the DMLS equipment and robustness of the overall process.
5. Support development and production of gas atomised powders for DMLS and other jewellery/industrial applications.
6. Direct management of the DMLS technical team, close cooperation with the sales development staff and membership of the business management group.

Overseas travel will play a large part in this role, primarily European but also global as necessary. The successful candidate will work closely with EOS who are based in Germany, to ensure that all available best practice is transferred and incorporated into our product offering. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to attend events and exhibitions, deliver training and provide technical advice to customers and other project stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have an engineering or material science degree and expertise in additive manufacturing of metal powders. You will be passionate, have a strong attention to detail and offer an enthusiastic can do attitude.
