This enjoyable, challenging and busy Activities Supervisor role involves managing and delivering an entertainment and activity programme, tailored to individuals and groups with a variety of needs at a National Charity's Brighton training centre. These are former members of the armed forces who either live in the centre or are visiting for holidays, events or specific training to overcome the challenges of severe sight loss.

They currently offer a variety of fun, challenging and enjoyable experiences for their members and they need to continue to expand their repertoire. They need an Activities Supervisor to lead this for them, creating a stimulating and sociable programme that creates a sense of wellbeing and includes a wide range of opportunities for their Veterans. You'll enable all to participate in a stimulating and varied social activity programme, motivating their blinded veterans to go beyond what they may have believed possible.

The ideal candidate will be an individual with boundless enthusiasm who can design and deliver bespoke and daily programmes for people with vision impairment, their carers or partners. Their Activities Supervisor will be an engaging dynamo who will use tact and diplomacy to encourage volunteers and colleagues to participate in and support activities both in house, using their first rate facilities, and in the surrounding areas. They are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge and experience that makes them the person we are looking for to lead our entertainment and activity programme.

Experience of working with elderly people, those with sight loss or other disabilities would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
