This practice is searching for a qualified FCCA or FCA or QBE accountant, (but will also consider a part-qualified individual working towards their FCCA or FCA qualification) to join their small friendly accountancy practice based in the beautiful North Cotswolds on the Sezincote Estate near Moreton-in-Marsh. Plentiful free parking and an excellent working environment are on offer as well as possible future progression within the firm as the business grows.

A less than full-time working week or flexible working arrangements could be accommodated by agreement.

The practice was founded 5 years ago and has enjoyed significant organic growth over the past few years, the journey has been exciting and they are looking for the next person to join their team. So this is, hopefully, where you come in, to help the director and his team manage the practice workflow and to help support the growth of the practice going forward.

The director is a member of both the ACCA and the CIOT and they undertake a significant amount of compliance as well as specialist tax advisory work. The practice predominantly specialises in the rural business sectors and also taxation compliance and advice. However, they do look after many clients operating in various other sectors and also undertake various interesting ad hoc assignments, so the workload is varied and interesting.

If you have experience of working within an accountancy practice, are a team player and enjoy providing a friendly and efficient service to clients, then joining their team might be the right move for you. Previous experience in an accounting practice providing varied compliance services really is essential and ideally for at least 3 years. Dedication and loyalty to the firm and clients will be rewarded appropriately.

Duties will include:
- Undertaking the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies,
- Preparing tax returns and trade profit computations
- Some VAT and PAYE work,
- Meeting with clients
- Providing general accounting/business support to clients;
- Helping junior team members and reviewing their work.
- Corresponding with clients, HMRC and external organisations
- Experience with undertaking IHT and CGT tax planning would be desirable, but not essential.
- Other ad hoc tasks

The level of salary will be dependent on the successful applicant’s experience.
