This Electrical Contractor specialises in Renewable Energy. After a period of growth they are now looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant. Working alongside and supporting a fast paced team of Procurement and Project Managers, your remit will be hands-on and will encompass all purchase and sales ledger work and assisting with other accounts related tasks.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- All aspects of their approved supplier ledger
- Ensuring that the purchase ledger is accurately maintained
- Introduce good internal controls
- Processing invoices, credit notes and expenses to the correct nominal
- Recommend suppliers for weekly payment run
- Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries
- Reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts
- Assist with CIS contractors payments
- Assisting with other Accounts related tasks; such as sales ledger including credit control, cash collection and processing card payments.
Qualifications
You should be part qualified or working towards a recognized qualification and have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. This role will suit someone with a confident telephone manner, able to work under pressure and with excellent organizational skills. You will show initiative, have the ability to negotiate and influence, and offer new ideas to improve processes across the group. You will possess strong numerical and IT skills, with experience of accounting software Xero and Sage 50 Accounts. The candidate will be intermediate on MS Office (inc Outlook, Excel and Word), A working knowledge of payroll will also prove beneficial, but is no means a pre-requisite.
Hours will be 9am to 5pm.
