A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. At least two years small firm accountancy practice experience is essential. This individual is likely to be part-qualified, newly qualified or qualified by experience. The individual should be proactive and manage their own work load, but also be a team player who is keen to help others. An ability to own relationships with clients would be very useful. Xero experience useful, Sage, Iris and VT experience helpful.

Details include:
- Permanent (full-time or part-time);
- £25k-£35k (pro-rated) depending on experience and hours of work; and
- Office based, near Basingstoke, but also potentially working at client’s premises and other office.

Main duties include, but may not be limited to:
- Accounts preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs and Limited companies (private and CICs);
- Preparation of self-assessment and corporation tax liabilities, to ensure they pay the right amount of tax, on time, with further tax experience advantageous;
- Working with clients to ensure they provide information on a timely basis, maintain complete and accurate records and are aware of their other statutory responsibilities and over time looking to have meetings with clients as they take further ownership of client relationships;
- Managing Petty Cash transactions;
- Working collaboratively with the book-keepers to prepare management accounts and utilise different platforms;
- Proactively identifying gaps or risks in any key processes and proposing solutions to rectify, using benefit of previous experience; and
