A lifestyle concierge and luxury travel company with offices in London and Hong Kong is looking for Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to add to their growing team. You will be involved with important tasks in the Accounts department. On top of the traditional role and requirements for an experienced book keeper, a successful candidate would need to have the ability to be assertive over the phone, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Maintaining credit control - Chasing payments from customers
- Maintaining the accounts payable - Paying invoices and managing relationships with suppliers
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Ensuring bank reconciliation
- Using the computerised accounting system Sage
- Maintaining the filing system
- Giving administrative support to the Accountant and COO
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for the company, bookkeeping, and handling all financial related queries.
- Accounting for incoming payments
- Running Aged Debtor reports
- Managing staff expenses, fuel cards etc….
- Some data analysis and ad hoc reporting across the business
- Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
- Experience in using Sage 50 Essential

Qualifications and Skills

- Education Level: Preferably should have an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Should have 3+ years experience in accounts. - The successful candidate will be either AAT qualified or qualified by experience

Career: Your level of career should be Team member to Manager

Skills:

- Must have a full understanding and fully competent using Sage, with a minimum of 2yrs experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good proficiency with using a computer especially with Excel.
- Solid analytical skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Must be confident, assertive but still find the polite balance when dealing with difficult customers especially when chasing payments.
- Can multi-task.
- Reporting to the Office Manager / COO
