A unique opportunity has arisen for a part time (14 hours) accountant to join a dynamic business based in Melksham, Wiltshire.
This is a permanent position and ideally suited to someone looking to juggle child care commitments or another role. Maybe you are wondering if you should return to a long commute or just want to do less hours and work locally.
The role will support the Directors and take responsibility for keeping a tight rein on all financial matters. There is no financial director so as the company grows, there are great opportunities to take on more responsibility and develop within the company.
Key duties will include:-
- Keeping the company financial systems up to date and reconciled promptly
- Supervision of ad-hoc invoicing and special projects
- Ensuring that internal controls are adequate and adhered to
- Assisting with a change to the company structure
- Handling the financial aspects of a company purchase
- Payroll
To be considered for this role you will either be qualified by experience and AAT or a qualified accountant.
You must have good IT skills to deal with their current systems and assist in the development of new ones.
Candidates must be self-sufficient and confident of their abilities with an eye for detail and never prepared to accept second best.
