A well-established Chartered Accountancy practice in South East London (SE12) has an opportunity for a Semi Senior Clerk with three to four years practice experience to join their growing organisation.
Established in 1969 this busy accountancy firm has an excellent reputation which means they work with some exclusive clients across the local area.
Your role will be challenging from day one, reporting directly to your manager. Your role will also be varied and mentally challenging allowing you to develop your skills and progress your career.
Your immediate duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Accounts preparation and file reviews for sole traders and limited companies
- Corporation and personal tax computations and returns
- Bookkeeping
- Review and preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting junior staff
- Other ad-hoc duties
To be successful in the application you will:
- Have previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Be communicative
- Have excellent numeracy skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to work with a methodical approach
- Experience with SAGE Line 50 is highly desired
- PTP tax software and on-line packages such as Xero would be useful
- SAGE Accounts Production Advanced experience an advantage
