This company is looking for an experienced general Account Manager to sell the company’s products and services to both new and existing customers. You must be based locally to the Head Office in Melksham and will be expected to visit customers based predominantly in the South West.

Your main responsibilities will be: -

- Development and penetration of targeted new clients
- Arranging your own appointments to meet both existing and prospective customers
- Key account management to include managing and developing existing client opportunities and developing new business via proactive communication to achieve agreed targets
- The role will be both office and field based with a likely ratio of three days in the office and two days visiting existing and potential customers
- Preparation of quotes across the product range for both existing customers and new business
- Managing / responding to all sales leads and progressing them to tender / conclusion
- Handling customer requests and maintaining good customer relations in accordance with agreed account development plans
- Managing and updating sales software to ensure it is used correctly and contains the latest prices, client information and business opportunities
- Making and reporting on follow up calls / interaction with customers
- Meeting sales revenue and lead generation targets
- Complete weekly and monthly reports as agreed
- Adhering to company processes and documentation
- Liaising with office staff as and when needed to achieve the above

Skills Required: -

- Must have at least 3 years experience of new business sales and account management
- Experience of selling at a management level
- Excellent customer handling skills, account management, and proven new business development experience
- First class communication and planning skills
- Able to self motivate, be proactive and flexible
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, as well as Internet and email, and have fluent writing skills
- May need SC Clearance
