Main Purpose and Scope of Job

Develop and lead a team of nine based in three student accommodation sites in Glasgow City Centre to ensure maximum occupancy, effective tenancy management and to provide clean, safe buildings for residents.

Support all areas of the business and work remotely alongside the Operations Manager to deliver the business objectives for the City.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Occupancy
- Management of lettings processes to achieve maximum occupancy in accordance with the company’s financial objectives.
- Up to date knowledge of best practice in building and letting processes and a strong knowledge of Scottish Legislation in relation to PRTs

Tenancy Management
- Produce a high standard of reports, ensuring all the required information is delivered in a timely manner, is accurate and in the required format

Building Management
- Management of all building PPM schedules including associated works in conjunction with the head office property management team

Staff Management
- To recruit, train, manage and develop the city teams to ensure that they perform their duties to the required standards and follow company procedures

Customer Service
- To lead by example by providing a high standard of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, communicating with external agencies where necessary
- Maintain and develop excellent relations with our customers and partner Universities and their representatives

Person Specification

Qualifications
- Level 6 Award in SARLA or relevant experience.

Skills & Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential)
- Ability to establish priorities and manage a complex workload (essential)
- Flexible, with demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team (essential)

Experience
- Previous experience in a management capacity (essential)
- Previous experience in the lettings sector (desirable)
- Knowledge
- Understanding of Scottish Lettings Legislation in the private rented sector, and the role of a letting agent
- Understanding of building management in relation to health and safety

Personal Attributes & other Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to our objectives
- Willingness to travel on occasion (e.g. to our offices in Altrincham and across England for meetings)
- Willingness to work out of office hours on occasion (e.g. busy periods of check in and check out times)

Salary is £25,000 per annum with £5,000 OTE
