Established in 2005, this small but rapidly growing IT/Data Centre Services company based in Maidstone, Kent looking for an enthusiastic 2nd line support engineer to join their service desk team. The company concentrates on providing managed services focused around data centre and cloud infrastructure offering services to a wide variety of clients ranging from small companies with a handful of people to multi-national companies.

Core Responsibilities:
- Providing 2nd/3rd Line Support to end users
- Maintaining and Installing Server/Networking Infrastructure
- Conducting audits for the sales team for new prospects
- On-boarding new clients and assisting with migrations

The ideal candidate will have :
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a 2nd line or higher role.
- A high level of attention to detail
- A high level of self-motivation and proactivity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to problem solve
- Very good organisational and time management skills

The ideal candidate should also have experience in at least 5 of the below technologies:
- Windows 10 Desktop Support
- Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2 2016 Support
- Redhat/CentOS/Oracle Linux or Similar Support
- Cisco Networking
- Oracle Database
- Microsoft Exchange
- Skype for Business
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Active Directory
- Office 365 Administration
- Nagios
- Cacti
- Hyper-V
- KVM/Xen

Shift hours are between 8AM and 6:30PM Monday to Friday however some paid overtime may be required from time to time for the nature of the job and work being performed. They also operate an out of hours on call engineer rota at weekends at from 11PM to 8AM Monday to Friday that the successful applicant would eventually form a part of and additional pay would be granted for on-call hours.
