1st Line IT Support Engineer / IT Helpdesk / IT Support / Systems Administrator / Network Administrator based in Chichester, West Sussex

This company delivers onsite/remote IT support and hosted services to small-medium sized businesses throughout the South East of England ranging from 5 to 150 employees. Operating for 10 years and having near 100% customer retention they are a company that believes strongly in high IT standards, excellent communication, rapid problem resolution and dynamic solution delivery.

Based just outside Chichester they currently have a vacancy for IT Support Engineer to work in their busy helpdesk department. This is an opportunity to join their growing dynamic organisation in an interesting and varied role. The role will be predominantly office-based role with customer visits and some limited home working.

The Role

This is a fast-paced and varied role for a 1st Line IT Support Engineer. Based in their busy office just outside Chichester, you will provide remote and onsite support to business clients. You will need to be organised and structured in your approach to tasks with strong communication skills.

This is a dynamic and challenging position working in a busy role with a skilled and friendly team where you will be well looked after and encouraged to learn, grow and progress.

The main responsibilities will include:
- 1st/2nd line technical support to our customers
- Monitoring and updating the helpdesk ticket system
- Supporting laptops, desktops, HP/Dell servers hardware and software
- Troubleshooting more complex problems with typical desktop/server/networking hardware and software
- Providing help and support to 2nd line members of the team

The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 1 years 1st Line IT Support within a fast paced environment
- Outstanding telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills, keeping customers updated of progress/delays
- A positive can-do attitude
- A confident and friendly personality with a keen and professional approach to work
- Enthusiasm for learning and improving their skills and knowledge
- Full clean driving licence

Be competent using a computer, including use of:
- Microsoft 365
- Outlook
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Teams

Salary, benefits and working hours:

A basic salary of £20k - £24k is available dependent upon experience.

The standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday.
