Twitter Starts Online Recruitment for London Office

If you are one of the world's biggest pioneers of online media and communications, it stands to reason that you are going to turn to online recruitment when you need to find some new staff.
That is exactly what social media giant, Twitter, is doing to recruit staff for the newly-announced office they are setting up in London.
The company made the announcement on Monday morning that London had been selected as the location for their European arm, winning out in a close-run fight with Irish capital, Dublin, for the high-profile venture.
Representatives for the microblogging site are said to have already begun talks with London property agents and have scouted a number of office locations in the media hub of London's West End. The office is set to open at the beginning of 2012 and it is believed that it is intended for the base to focus on growing Twitter's increasingly important advertising base.
It is not yet known what the staff head count will be at the new office but at least one member of staff, however, will not be recruited from London's fertile base of internet-savvy technicians. The head of the English office is believed to be Katie Jacob Stanton, Twitter's head of international strategy, who is also employed as a special adviser to the US State Department's Office of Innovation.
