Prezzo Recruitment Drive for New Restaurants

High street restaurant chain, Prezzo, is embarking on a recruitment drive for 250 new staff, after making another purchase of restaurants from the Caffe Uno chain.
The restaurant has announced plans to open 20 new Prezzo-branded restaurants during the course of 2011, and will need between 10 and 12 new staff at each location, amounting to around 250 new jobs.
A company spokesman said that a number of recent successful purchases of other high street food chains and outlets had inevitably led to the creation of new hospitality jobs, including positions for chefs, waiting staff and front-of-house roles.
"If we are taking people from other restaurants we will have to recruit new people. We don't have big recruitment days – recruitment is ongoing," the spokesman explained, stating that they would be combining new recruits with promotions from within, to take advantage of the comprehensive network of skilled and senior staff at their disposal.
The jobs are likely to be spread throughout a range of locations across the whole of the UK, with a number of new branches opening up in Scotland, as well as the development of several additional outlets in Manchester and the south east of England.
