Kent Firm Is A Front Runner For National Awards

A Sevenoaks recruitment specialist is among an elite group of the UK’s most successful companies competing in the finals of a leading award.
Online recruitment business, RecruitmentGenius.com, has already won a regional award for the Most Promising New Business, and now the company is a finalist in its category for the National Chamber Awards, hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce.
RecruitmentGenius.com has succeeded due to creative thinking in difficult economic conditions. The company’s groundbreaking initiative was to help fill any recruitment post for a fixed fee of £199. The revolutionary concept took off, with the business placing 38,000 roles in its first year. This approach has also allowed the company to prosper in a sector that has seen rapid decline.
The awards scheme was created to celebrate the country’s most successful businesses and Geoff Newman, Chief Executive of RecruitmentGenius.com, commented: "We're incredibly proud to have won through to the finals and this award is a reflection of our team’s hard work and the trust thousands of businesses have given us to find them the best staff.
“Kent is a great place to do business and we could not have achieved such results without being part of the local business community," added Mr Newman.
Jo James, Chief Executive of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, said: “Having won Kent’s Most Promising New Business for 2011, I am delighted that RecruitmentGenius.com has gone on to win the regional award - and I wish the company every success for the national finals.”
As well as being in the running for the national title in its category, RecruitmentGenius.com has a chance to collect the Award for Outstanding Business Achievement – with a top prize of £25,000.
There are nine categories and the national winners will be announced at a ceremony at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms on November 24.
