Steve Huxham

Steve first became Director of a leading Finance and City Recruitment practice at the age of 29, progressing to become MD. Subsequently he became Marketing Director within a major quoted Recruitment Services Group, and then in the mid 1990s co-founded new businesses for two leading Executive Recruitment brands. HUX was established as a practice in 1997.
In terms of professional memberships, Steve is: a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (sitting on two Committees); Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management; Member of the Institute of Directors; Member of the Institute of Association Management; Associate Member of the Fleet Air Arm Officer’s Association. He attends Parliamentary meetings as a Senate Member for the Genesis Initiative (umbrella and co-ordinating body for SME organisations.) He was granted the Freedom of the City of London in 1996, and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers.
Steve comments regularly on topical professional issues to trade, national and broadcast media, as well as speaking at Events and Conferences. His speaking credits include: the Executive Recruitment Exhibition & Conference (EREC); Chairing the annual CIPD Recruitment & Retention Conference; The Communication Director's Forum, Chairing the joint CIPD/AGR Graduate Recruitment Forum; and hosting the Breakthrough UK Independent Living Awards 2009 and 2010. He was a Chair of Judges for the National Recruiter Awards For Excellence in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
