Recruitment is underway for 120 experienced engineering and manufacturing workers in Gloucestershire, after global engineering outfit Renishaw launched a major recruitment drive.
The company, which is based in Wotton-under-Edge, is expanding its team to make way for its long-term growth plans. The recruitment process will take the form of a number of targeted open evenings at the company’s Stonehouse facility.
The head of human resources, Peter Bowler, said that there will be opportunities for people with experience in mechanical, software, electronics and production engineering, as well as opportunities for CNC setters/operators, process finishers and storekeepers.
He explained, “These 120 new positions are just part of our wider strategy to recruit and develop the talented individuals that will help us take advantage of the many global commercial opportunities that will drive our business growth in the future.”
The 120 new jobs will be on top of the company’s continued recruitment of apprentices and its undergraduate training scheme. Renishaw is currently interviewing for 25 apprentices and some 80 undergraduate placements are available during the summer.
Mr Bowler added, “We offer an excellent environment for people with the right capabilities and attitude - and the fact that we make and export the majority of our products ensures a rich variety of opportunities for career development.”
