The Spirit Pub Company has turned to online recruitment as its primary means of finding staff with the launch of a brand new dedicated online recruitment site.
The company, which has more than 800 managed pubs throughout the UK and more than 500 leased pubs, has set up the site to make sure it appeals to and harnesses the best possible hospitality staff it can find. The site allows visitors to build an online CV and browse a ‘hot jobs’ section to find the latest opportunities.
Spirit’s head of resourcing, Catherine Smith, said that the site will hopefully catch the attention of an increasingly internet-focused workforce.
“We wanted to create an industry leading recruitment platform that gives us the ability to grow our talent bank on both a national and regional level,” she explained. “Applications for pub jobs can now be sent direct to pubs, streamlining the process and improving the candidate experience. We have transformed our approach to recruitment and retention and the launch of our site is another step in our aim to be industry leaders.”
Smith added that the company, which operates branded pubs including Chef & Brewer, Fayre & Square, Flaming Grill and Taylor Walker, already has a strong “pipeline” of talent, but the new site will allow local managers to take on the right candidates at the right time.
