Recruitment for a range of energy technology jobs is about to get underway across the UK, after Scottish company, Proserv, announced the creation of 130 new positions.
Proserv, which provides services and technology for the global oil, gas and renewables industries, is creating the jobs after seeing a year of considerable and sustained growth. Their turnover for 2011 is expected to reach £113 million, rising 17 per cent from £96 million in 2010. The company also has a strong pipeline of work and an order book that could see the company grow by a further 20 per cent in 2012.
The company’s chief executive, David Lamont, said that around 50 of the jobs will be based in their offices around Aberdeenshire, rising their Scottish staff roster to 290. The rest of the positions will be based in England, with a few going outside the UK.
“Our focus is to build on our current position, invest in recruitment and the training of our people and continue with the global promotion of our full product and service range into new and existing markets,” Lamont explained.
“We forecast even stronger results for 2012, having secured a number of new contracts and as a result we will be building on our current global workforce of almost 800 people by a further 17 per cent next year to support our current order book and strong sales pipeline.”
